Danse Macabre (Vampire Ball)

Last saturday we went to Danse Macabre, a Vampire Ball in Gent (Belgium) organised by Viona (viona-art.com). I wore my Gryffin Gow with new sleeves which I made about two weeks ago. To complete the vampire look I wore fangs (of course), white make-up, white lenses and a long veil with a skull headdress. So here are some pics:

Bonus project: Halloween capes

I've been working really hard on my halloween gown. I had planned to make a black and orange elizabethan gown with halloween embroidery. At this point both the overskirt and the forepart for the underskirt are done. As the gown has to be finished tomorrow, I'm not going to make it. So I will wear the skirts with a corset and spiderweb shirts. I had some leftover fabric from this gown and I used this to make two little semi-circle capes for my son and daughter. They picked some halloween cat embroidery patterns which I used on the front and center back. And here they are:

Finished: Gryffin Gown

Last week I finally finished my new elizabethan gown. It has been lying unfinished in my closet for more than six months. I call it my Gryffin Gown, because of the beautiful 'gryffin brocade' I used for it.

And this is the finished gown with some of my pearl-trim which I used to make some sort of necklace. I was curious if it would look good and I think it does.
